the Endurance Riders/Horses in
the Kingdom of Bahrain Local Rules

Article
001- Qualification |
 |
Any
person from the year in which
He/She reaches his/her 12th
- 21st birthday is allowed
to take part in all children
, junior and young Endurance
rides in Bahrain, either as
an individual or as a team
member. |

Horses
must be at least 5 years
old to qualify, and Mares
obviously in advanced pregnancies
or with foal at foot cannot
be entered.

Qualification
Procedure |
 |
A
rider should have completed
60 KM qualifying endurance
ride, to participate in
any 80 KM endurance ride
and above. |
 |
A
horse should have completed
60 KM endurance ride, to
be entered in any 80 KM
ride. |
 |
A
horse should have completed
80 KM endurance ride to
be entered in any 81 KM
and above rides. |

Article
002 - Veterinary Aspects |
 |
Every
horse enters for any competition
(CNs) must have an official,
valid FEI Passports or a
National Passport, as a
means of identification
and to establish ownership. |
 |
All
Horses for which an FEI
Passport, or a National
Passport has been issued,
must have the vaccination
section endorsed by a veterinarian,
stating that it has received
two injections for primary
vaccination against equine
influenza, given no less
than 21 days and not more
than 92 days apart. |
 |
In
addition, a booster injection
must be recorded as having
been given within each succeeding
6 months, subsequent to
the second injection of
the primary vaccination.
None of these, injections
must have been given within
the proceeding 7 days including
the day of the competition
or of entry into the competition
stables. |
